On September 6, 2016, the Demopolis Police Department Criminal Investigations Division along with other Officers of DPD executed a search warrant on Bridget Avenue at Lot #7.  While executing this search warrant Officers recovered several stolen power tools and hand tools.  It has been determined through CID’s investigation that these power tools were taken in a burglary from a building located on Mauvilla Drive in Demopolis, Alabama.  Two stolen handguns were also recovered during this investigation that has been determined to be stolen from a burglary of a residence located in the French Creek Area.   

William David Hardin W/M, 47yoa, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree.

Chief Reese praised the work of the Criminal Investigation Division and said this investigation is still ongoing.
