On April 24, 2017, the Demopolis Police Department arrested Doris Lanice Morgan, W/F, age 53 of Demopolis, Alabama for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Property 4th Degree. Her arrest came after Officers were called to Wal-mart Store in Demopolis, Alabama about a shoplifter. Upon Officers arrival they were told that the female was trying to kill herself near the restrooms. Officers located the suspect and found several stolen items from Wal-Mart in her purse along with drug contraband.
Sher was processed and later transported the Marengo County Detention Center for a Bond Hearing.
