On May 3, 2018, the Demopolis Police Department arrested Brandon Scott Cook, W/M, age 32 of Marion, Alabama for One (1) Count of Possession of Marijuana and One (1) Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Also arrested was Kendrick Bowden, Jr., B/M, age 25 of Livington, Alabama for One (1) Count of Possession of Marijuana and One (1) Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Their arrests came after a traffic stop on the highway, this is when the Officer noticed the occupants throwing plastic bags out of the car.  Once the vehicle was stopped the Officer could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle.  Officers found drugs in the vehicle and also located a bag which contained a clear mason jar with marijuana in it and some scales that were thrown out by the occupants. 

Both were processed and later transported the Marengo County Detention Center for a Bond Hearing.
